I woke up that morning feeling like it was Christmas, yet calmer than I had in months. The long wedding to-do list was complete, the decor was made, the seating charts we done, everyone was in town, and now there was nothing else to focus on than the fact that I was marrying my best friend and to soak up the day as much as I possibly could.
After our rehearsal dinner the night before, I had gone back to my Airbnb where I was staying with one of my best friends, Erica, and her husband Bryan. I don't know how, but I slept like a baby that night! So it was a bit of a hilarious scene the morning of when I noticed that Erica and Bryan were more nervous than I was. They couldn't sit still and offered me an endless amount of help. I could not have had two more incredible people by my side helping me gather my stuff and getting me to the venue.
I had a lovely hour with my hair and make up team before the girls got there. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and it was a perfect morning to pop open all the windows.
When the girls got there Caroline put on the most amazing playlist of 90's classics and our whole getting ready period felt like one big dance party. And the kind of crazy thing about my bridal party is that all of these girls live in different places across the country and so having them with me in the same room was truly one of the best feelings.
When my mom walked in my jaw dropped because she looked so unbelievably stunning and it was it was hard choking back all the happy tears as her and the girls helped me get ready.
Once everyone was ready we headed out to the orange grove to take photos. The whole thing was one big blur of laughter and I was so grateful to have these incredible women by my side.
And because I was finding it very difficult to put the wedding day into one blog post. I decided to do a series. So this is the beginning, the morning of. Next up: The Ceremony.
